Onix is a dual-tpye of both Rock and Ground. They are also classed as the Rock Snake Pokémon. It evovles into Steelix while being traided with a Metal Coat. Onixs often roamed most of the cave of the Kento regain, where they can be fought and captured in Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, FireRed, LeafGreen, Lte's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!. It should be noted that the first Gym Leader known as Brock has an Onix that he uses in his battles. In Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold & SoulSilver
