Thwomps, also uncommonly known as Thwomp Traps, are giant stone faces appearing mostly in the Mushroom Kingdom and in different iterations of Bowser's Castle. They are normally depicted as spike-encrusted living stones that are usually rectangular in shape and made their first appearance in the game
