Descrição
Hikaru Nakamura wasn’t bored in Round 2 of the FIDE Grand Prix in Berlin as he scored a brilliant win over Andrey Esipenko, the player Sergey Karjakin felt should have got a wildcard ahead of Hikaru. Richard Rapport found an extraordinary king march to bounce back and beat Vladimir Fedoseev, while Leinier Dominguez was rewarded for playing the Sicilian against Alexei Shirov. The other games were drawn, though Alexander Grischuk’s Pirc almost backfired against Etienne Bacrot, while Radek Wojtaszek was a whisker away from moving to 2/2.
